   Who is WILL SCHUYLER and why is he running for City Council?

   As a successful small businessman who was raised with the small town values
   of honesty, integrity, resourcefulness and commitment to community service,
   you can be assured that Will Schuyler remember these values as he serves you
   on the City Council.  He has worked hard to raise his family and build a
   thriving business.  Always committed to public service he wants to return
   the good will that the citizens of Lompoc have shown his family.

   Will Schuyler’s PHILOSOPHY is that of a CARING man who wants to “Do what’s
   right for you!”  Will firmly believes that government at all levels is “for
   the people and by the people”.  With this in mind he makes a commitment to
   give you a STRONG VOICE in City government during the NEW MILLENNIUM.

   Always ready to listen to citizen input, he believes that he should treat
   each individual, as he would like to be treated himself.  He is a
   compassionate man who values the thoughts and dreams of all the citizens of
   Lompoc.

   Will Schuyler is DEDICATED to the City of Lompoc.  A life-long resident,
   Will currently operates a successful small business.  He dedicated to the
   citizens with whom he has daily contact and has first-hand knowledge of both
   the history of Lompoc, and its current condition.  He will apply this
   knowledge when making decisions about the future of Lompoc.

   He is an active member of many community service organizations including the
   Lompoc Valley Business Association; Chairman/co-chairman of six Mud Bog
   events; former Lompoc United Way Board Member; 47-year member of the Boy
   Scouts of America; Honorary Board Member of LOVARC; Chamber of Commerce
   “Man-of-the-year” in 1992; Secretary of the Independent Order of Odd
   Fellows; member of the Committee to Improve North County, Lompoc Valley
   Health Care Council; and member of the Lompoc Farm Bureau.

   Will Schuyler is aware of the ISSUES that will impact the City as we begin
   the NEW MILLENNIUM.  The City is filling in rapidly.  Gone are the open
   fields of years past and new businesses are arriving daily in Lompoc.
   Managed growth is the biggest issue facing the City in the coming decade.
   The cities infrastructure must keep pace with the anticipated growth.

   The cornerstones of community tourism are the Flower Festival, Dog Show and
   Spring Arts Festival.  They have outgrown Ryon Park and all need a new
   venue.

   Access in-to-and-out-of the City from the east and south is limited and
   major road improvements are needed.  The “Old Town” at the city’s center is
   in need of resurrection to absorb new business and entertainment
   opportunities.  Affordable housing for the working people of our community
   is a must.

   Will Schuyler is fully prepared to address these issues and he is committed
   to working diligently to develop well thought out solutions.

   Will Schuyler is ENTHUSIASTIC and excited about representing YOU during City
   Council meetings.  Will knows that you pay for all of the services the City
   of Lompoc provides.  He knows that you expect, and you should receive the
   best that the City has to offer.

   He is ready to ask the tough that you would ask if you were sitting in his

   Will Schuyler is EXPERIENCED – He will use his life experiences to form his
   opinions concerning issues before the City Council.  A long-time public
   servant as a member of the Santa Barbara Search and Rescue/Lompoc Team, City
   Council Member, the city’s representative to the Air Pollution Control
   District, and County Association of Governments he has the experience
   necessary to start on “day-one” and get the job done quickly.

   His vast experience will help you access the city bureaucracy to solve
   problems, and he can move freely through the halls of city government to
   ensure YOUR ISSUES are resolved promptly.  He is totally familiar with the
   budgetary process and will apply himself to ensure that our city is fiscally
   sound for the future.
