Lompoc Valley Art Association Website
When you think of Lompoc, you think of art - after all, there are murals everywhere! Next time you log on to the Internet, consider dropping by the Lompoc Valley Art Association website (http://members.xoom.com/LompocArt/index.html), created by Carol Seefeldt Moore.
A non-profit artist's organization, the LVAA wants to keep culture alive in Lompoc!
At their website you'll learn about the Cypress Gallery, maintained by the LVAA - what shows are currently featured and what artists are showing (thirty-three different artists in May!)
Click on "Monthly Meeting" and you'll discover that LVAA's regular meetings are open to the public, and usually include a presentation by a local artist. The public is also invited to the show and sale held the first Saturday of each month, weather permitting, in Centennial Park. The "Special Events" section gives more details, including information about the 4th of July Celebration, and photos of the May 6th show and sale.
Click on "View Our Artists'Work" to see what may be the best part of the website -- actual samples of the artist's work -- online! LVAA's website is updated frequently so be sure to stop back often for the latest news.
What's happening online in Lompoc? Quite a bit, but you have to know where to look!
The Lompoc Online Review features local website reviews and computer news and tips, all geared toward our community. Look for it right here, and in every issue of The Chatterbox newsletter, (the free newsletter published by Karen Shorette's Word Wizard Productions, available at these locations).
Next Issue: Crafters Alert! Watch for our review of CraftPlanet.com, brainchild of Lompoc local, Deb Sweigart.
