To the person from Bakersfield who wrote back about Harris Grade: I am the person who wrote the (closing Harris Grade article). It was never my intention to close it down, just to get people's opinion about the road's safety and what we could do to make it safer. What is needed is response from people in Lompoc not people who don't even live here anymore.

As far as the legend of Agnes, it's just that, all towns have thier own Ghost stories. I have lived in 20 odd something towns (being in a Military Family) and all of these places have had similar stories.

People of Lompoc need to not be blind to the Dangers of that road.You may drive safe but it's usually some drunk or careless young person who forces you off the road and believe me there is nowhere to go but into a Canyon on that road.

We may not ever close the road down but we certainly can try to make it safer.
