Lompoc History/Genealogy Update
About a year and a half ago, Myra Manfrina of the Lompoc Valley
Historical Society kindly offered to try to answer history and genealogical
e-mails from Lompoc Online website visitors. Here's a brief update from her:
Myra writes,
Thank you so very much for keeping on with Lompoconline. I get about 5 queries a week - some for just an obit, some for a lengthy
genealogy, some just general information. But it sure keeps me busy.
There a whole lot out there who read Lompoconline!! And very much enjoy it.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Many thanks to you for all that research, Myra!

Carpool Anyone?
Aside from the bus services, do you know anywhere one can hook up with other commuters to Goleta/SB for carpools? There seems to be an
incredibly high need. Could you add such a site to your webpage?

What Does Lompoc Offer Now?
Sue writes,
My father had been with the FCI in the late 60's. My fiance has been interviewed for a position at the FCI there. Want information on Lompoc and

California Vacation
Jeanie writes,
My husband and I are planning our first vacation to Ca and we have very little idea were to go.
It is our 25th anniversary trip, we take very few trips .
We are flying on free air miles from North Carolina and want to make this trip a special one that we will remember.
We love the the Ocean .
We like to play in the Ocean and walk the beaches .
We like quiet quaint unpopulated or least populated area's.
We like small quaint places to stay, like cabins or bed and breakfast places that cator to a few at a time .
We are in our 40's and like quiet no kids like area's.
We also like to take it slow and easy and like the out doors beauty of earth natural parks that are not man made.
We like easy hikes.
We plan to come near end of September or October?
I will like a comfortable climate above 60 degree's.
Any ideas on were to start?
Thank you for any idea's you may have.
